Great place, though admittedly since becoming popular it really isn't as quiet and secluded as it us to be. Last visit there found a family parked on the river blasting disco music for hours.

Great place! Dog and fire friendly!

Didn't really see any animals, but heard some kookaburras which I always enjoy. The trail is also very rough and narrow, and expect to walk across trees, over cliffs, and through a bunch of ferns! Also I highly recommend planning your route before you go as the trail is not very well signposted.

On the other hand the hiking was really nice! You basically just follow along the river for the first part, and listening to that and the birds is very peaceful. Also not many people on the hike which is always a plus. After following the river for a long while the trail splits - we chose the 'hard route' and basically walked up a big hill for half an hour, but once we got to the top it was nice to see the park from a more elevated point of view.

Plenty of camping spots both along the river and the hiking tracks. Some parts of tracks have been flood damaged but are still traversable with caution. Tracks travel vertically and can be a good workout.

Didn't actually camp here, just spent an afternoon hiking around. To be honest I probably wouldn't really want to camp here as the campsite didn't look all that great. Was right by the road, not very private, and really not that picturesque.

Hiking is the creepiest way to sneak up on people you don't mean to harm.

Excellent escape from the city. With a fun walk along the river. Gets very busy on a warm day and over public holidays though. Fun 4wd tracks in close proximity if that’s your thing.
